I have acquired a new computer which necessitated moving everything ( aughhhhhhhh!!! :-( ) . If you have sent me a message to which I have not replied, it may have gotten lost somewhere. I have numerous changes to make to the web sites which I will do shortly. Hopefully got my web "stuff" moved correctly. Have son and his wife arriving tonight from Va, school inservice has started and the kiddos arrive next Tuesday for their first school day. Will check in a couple weeks to see if I still have my sanity! Renea

I am researching the Rosson surname and its various spellings. Is anyone else on the list researching the same surname? Vicki
We have a match!!! My great grandfather was Perry Milton Ballinger. His brother James Grover Ballinger was your great grandfather Willie Barnes Ballinger, who married Cora Evans. Would you like a copy of what I have? It's about about 50 pages. I have been working with Grace Cain from Parson. Be happy to share -

Hi Elisha, Can you give names and dates on your Evans' in Decatur Co.? Also, are they connected to your Leard surname? The reason I ask is that I have come across the Leard name used as a given name in my Evens and Still lines in Decatur and Perry Counties and wonder if there might be a connection. My Evens line stopped off in Major County, OK and I believe that part of that line might still be in the area. Thanks, Paula Evens DeGraf (ps my family also uses the Evans spelling) At 08:55 PM 8/8/00, you wrote: >hello- just wanted to take a moment & re-post my surnames : > > Benton- Kelly, Kelley > Carroll- Pritchard, Kelly, Kelley >Decatur- Faulkner,Folkner, Hays, Ballinger, Evans >Henderson- Essary, Evans, Hays, Lindsey > >Sorry for any multiple postings :) > >Thanks!! > >Elisha Leard >Guthrie, Oklahoma

Does anyone on this list know of a printed copy of 1900 and 1910 census for Decatur County showing family names? Don't want to look at microfilm unless that's the only choice. Looking for Eligah (Lige) White. He died in 1921. His wife, possibly Sarepta J. White (not sure about name) died in 1909 somewhere near Clifton, TN. She was carried to Cerro Gordo in Hardin Co. for burial. One son was William Augustus White and at least one more son(unk.). Had one known daughter, Eliza C. White. Would love to hear from anyone with knowledge of this family. Joyce White Jones
