Hello, I am trying to find the family of my GGGrandmother, Becky Hickerson. She Married Harvey Jim Macken, probably in Perry County. Her daughter, Ida Belle Macken, was my GGrandmother. Houston m Jim Jennings I feel that K.K.Houston got his information about this marriage to Jim Jennings "word of mouth" as I can find no documention. Mary Jane was the name of JWJ and LA Barnetts dau so this may have confused someone. The Mary Jane Barnett listed in bible would be several years J.W.J.'s senior and an unlikey candidate for his wife. She also lived past his second marriage date based on subsequent birth dates of children with Dodd. Also listed in this bible is Martha Roena Barnett 1-15-59 d.11-25-1940. Unlikely candidate either. I would appreciate any information that might add anything to this point. The will of Nathaniel Barnett, father of La Verna, might shed some additional documentation. Such data might be in the microfilm of Dec. Co. wills which I don't have access to at the moment. I found this family in 1850, 1860, and 1880 in Decatur County, but cannot find them in 1870. By 1900, they had moved to Dyer County. I had hoped they were still in Decatur County in 1870, but so far no luck finding them. Newt Hendrix and Mary Jane Gibson were married in Decatur County in 1871, and Newt's brother, William P. Hendrix, married Lucinda Odle in 1871, so I know the family was in the vicinity -- I just haven't been able to find them! She was always listed as "E." Hendrix, so I assumed her name was Elizabeth. She was apparently never married but did have three children with the same man. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Karen
