Steve McDaniel's office, Nashville, the prison site in Carroll County is one of many sites under consideration. An environmental report is under way on the Natchez Trace Forest site. His office said they had received several phone calls about the prison and also said that Carroll County favors the prison because of the 400 jobs being created. One wonders how many cemeteries might be on these 700 acres. Hi Athalia, does the Decatur County Library have tax records from the early 1800's and if it does, could someone check for a William Young for me? He was born about 1803 in Tennessee and as far as I know, always lived in the Perry/Decatur counties area. His wife's name was Almeda if that matters. The last census he was shown on was the 1860 one so probably died and is also buried in Decatur County. Thank you. Hello, Is this Fanny Howell the daughter of Henry Howell and Nancy Steele? Do you have her death date? Also do you have any information on her children, especially Susan Alice Conway?
