    3. I am also interested in Mason-Lodges in Decature & Linden, Perry Co. I have not been able to find any info from Lodges. Some Lodges have a history written about the Lodge. If there is one for these areas do you know where it can be found. Mary

    3. OK I know I'm getting on everyone's nerves. BUT I found the marriage license for James Pinkney Haggard. He and a C. H. Haggard were on the bond. It lists Nancy D. Bench or Berch as his bride. (Sept. 14, 1872) I feel it could have been misspelled and should have been BURCH. In any event, family members said her name was Nancy Taylor. She could have married a Taylor after James Pinkney died in 1915. Now, if anyone has any info. on a Nancy D. Bench/Berch or Burch or Taylor, Please let me know. Also, does anyone know who C. H. Haggard is? Thanks, Mary __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make a great connection at Yahoo! Personals. http://personals.yahoo.com

    3. My 2g-gfather was a member of a lodge in Reagan area of Henderson Co. abt. 1860 and few years later. My brother, who is a mason, was able to locate his records in the Lodge archives in Nashville. However, all they contained were his record of paying dues which were 25 cents per year. We were not able to determine which lodge he transfer to when that one was resolved, nor the name of his parents which was the information we most wanted. - Marge ----- Original Message ----- From: "Athalia Taylor" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2001 10:44 AM Subject: Re: [TNDECATU] Mason-Lodge 218-Decaturville > The lodge you speak of is Old Center Lodge. 3. I have an adjustment to make in my previous message I sent. The Decaturville Lodge is still open, it was only the Eastern Star part that moved to Parsons. The Old Center Lodge is 380, The Decaturville Lodge is 218. These are two seperate lodges. A master mason has a 3rd degree. They are inducted into the lodge with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree. These are different levels that the person that the person attains before moving on to the next one. You may want to write to the Decaturville Lodge 218, Decaturville, TN 38329 and see if they could help you with the information you seek. The Al Chymia Temple in Memphis I told you about cannot help you with the blue lodges. They are a different part. The other one is the Grand Lodge in Nashville that holds records for the blue lodges of TN. Athalia Taylor, Director Decatur County Public Library >>> [email protected] 10/09/01 18:41 PM >>> I hope someone can answer some questions about the below Mason Lodges. I have no knowledge about Mason associations or organization. Information comes from handwritten resolution, 1908, by the Lodge my great grandfather belonged to. My father, grandfather, uncles, husband, father-in-law, etc. are all masons and belong to the various lodges located in Decatur County. I know that each lodge has officers that include a secretary but I would think that the minutes of the meeting would be unavailable except to masons themselves.
