    1. Re: [TNDAVIDS] More Perry Info in TN and NC
    2. I only know the Cushenberry's in Allen Co., KY were Baptists. There are no Perry's in Allen Co., Ky in 1819 when my Aaron Perry was born. I first find him in the 1850 Allen Co., Ky census. He and Rebecca must have married before 1843 as their first son was born then. His name was James W. but he died when he was 12 years old and the other two children were my Rebecca Cushenberry whose father is James Cushenberry and another daughter Jane that married a Henson. So, that leaves me with the Walker Line conflict between Ky and Tn. I have some deeds of my Aaron Perry on Baysfork Creek and Drakes Creek in Allen Co., Ky. In 1850 Aaron is living between a Read family and A.C. Atwood. I cannot find my Aaron Perry in the 1840 census when he would have been of age. Maybe he was still living with his parents of whom his father was from North Carolina and his mother from Virginia according to the 1880 Allen Co., Ky census. Wards were up there, as were Boyces. My wife is descended from the Boyce and Perry families in that area. They predate these deeds you have cited. A Sarah Perry married a William Rice and they lived in the Bertie County, NC area. I think her father was a James Perry. But your mention of Ward and Boyce here caught my attention. Were they by chance Quakers? I believe they refer to it as Walker's Line. My Aaron Perry according to census records was born in Ky 1816-1819. He married Rebecca Ann Cushenberry and died in Allen Co., Ky in 1885. The 1880 Allen Co. Ky census states his father was born in NC and his mother in VA. The Cushenberry surname has now been proven to descend from the Quisenberry family of Virginia by DNA testing. I have the following Perry data that has associations in Wake Co., NC and Sumner Co., Tn.: (1) In Wake Co., NC Mar 1797 A deed from Aaron Perry to James Fort was proved of Benton Powell a witness...... there was a Benton Powell connected to Francis Perry in Wake Co., NC (2) June 1797 Sarah Perry wife of Francis Perry Rich Land Creek 218 acres Nathaniel Jones, Joel King, John Hinton, Jr., Henry Seawell. (3) In Sumner Co., TN under Wilson Co., Tn Deed Book A it states " Aaron Perry of Sumner County to William Thomas of Sumner County a tract of land on the West Fork of Barton's Creek. 12 December 1799.. pp 85-88. Under the Census of the Cumberland Settlements it names Leon Perry 1789 on a jury ; Sion Perry witnessed deed of William Edwards, Nov. 1789 Bondsman for Reubin Martin and Jeremy Kuynendal. This is some of what I have. Maybe someone can add something to this. I do feel that my Aaron Perry (2nd great grandfather) that married Rebecca Cushenberry is descended from these Perry's. The people who lived in Sumner Co., Tn and in Warren and Allen Co., Ky crossed the Ky / Tn state line all of the time. If anyone can add to this please get in touch with me. Marianne Dillow Illinois
