Injecting a Note here, General James Randolph Robertson (Land owner on Barton's Creek) Uncles families will move to Oglethorpe CO Ga, about the same time the Shropshire Families of Matrimony Creek will move too. The Uncle is tied to a Patrick Family when they move to Oglethorpe Co Ga. Now in Mary Holland and LTC Nathaniel Johnson research of Blue Creek and Duck River Johnson's this is the connecting point to Gideon Johnson of Dan River, is her Pillow Families HAYES FORK This small community is located between Blue Creek and Bumpus Mills. Johnson researchers Ltc Nathaniel Johnson and Cousin Mary Holland's family of Hiram Johnson and wife Margaret, also please note also the Sevier connections as this is the same Sevier families who settled in Washington Co NC lands are now Big Creek Hawkins CO TN. This is also the Matlock Families. The Sevier's are also the Dodson families of Tappahana Lands (Wards Creek) then they moved to Neck of Land then on to Oquuain River ( Sic) where Farnham Creek is from. Dodson and Sevier's will be married by the time they move to lands first found in Brunswick Co. then to Lands on North Mountain where they meet up with the Morgan Bryant families involved with Thomas Curtis and Job Curtis of Orange Co Va ( lands now in West Va) Please also note the General James Randolph Robertson Connection to Robert Hayes. As General James Randolph Robertson's families connect right back to Wards Creek thru his Great Grand Uncle Edward Robinson being transported by Rice Hoe ( AP Hoe) of Wales.General James Randolph Robertson fore father of ? Marks lived on Wards Creek and established the first known Anti Baptist Church In Va and went into Northern NC at this Point Albemarle Co NC ( part of original Weynoake lands) ( this was part of the fore runner Church of Primitive Baptist and Separate Baptist faiths) Mine and Pegs' Matlock families also settled on Blue Creek and the Duck River. The above Pillow families will be found in Matrimony Baptist Church of Lands that will go into Rockingham Co NC when it formed from lands of Guilford Co NC A John Pillow Sr. was killed by Indians near Nashville in May or June 1793, and his wife declined to administer the estate on July 9; that task fell to son William Pillow. The Pillow family migrated into northern Williamson Co. at the turn of the century, but by 1808, most were relocating to Maury Co. with a few working south to Giles. Among the Pillow children were: Col. William Pillow (1772-1868, Maury Co., TN) who married second Portia Thomas of Williamson Co., TN in 1812; Gideon Pillow Sr. (Sept. 31, 1774-Feb. 26, 1830, Maury) who married Annie Payne (Feb. 20, 1777-April 10, 1864); Col. William Pillow gained a reputation as an Indian fighter, killing Chief Big Foot, serving under Gen. Andrew Jackson, and eventually settling in Columbia, Maury Co., TN. Soldier and widow had married 1783 March 14 and soldier died 1850 Oct 22: One Sarah Johnson widow of William Johnson a brother of Abner Johnson was of Maury Co. Tn age 77 in 1832 Pg 1840 . A Mays and a Holland family of NC will be married into Descendants of John Johnson son of Hudson Johnson and wife Agnes: A Looney family of Big Creek Washington Co. TN will also settle on Duck River, this Looney family will come from lands once in Orange Co Va. Tony
