Taneya the information on the website refers to the online indexes for records.. Original wills are indexed through 1920 and will books through 1902 and the indexes are available on the website. Metro Nashville Archives has original wills and will books through 1949, at the Green Hills location. There is no comprehensive index after the dates given above. If a person left a will of record in Davidson County 1949 or before, a copy can be made from the will book. The original will may also be available. After 1949 you must contact the probate court for the will books.
