    1. [TNDAVIDS] John Orr of Sumner Co., Tn. and William Orr of Davidson Co., Tn., Are They Kin
    2. My 5th great grandparents are JOHN ORR and FRANCES unknown. I descend from their daughter MARGARET "PEGGY" ORR who married WILLIAM OGLES 15 July 1803 in Sumner Co., Tn. Margaret Orr and William Ogles were both in Sumner Co., Tn and across the state line in Allen Co., Ky. My JOHN ORR died ca 1798 in Sumner Co., Tn and left an inventory of his estate which was not concluded until 1814 due to the death of Frances in 1813 in Sumner Co., Tn. I am trying to find John Orr's parents. I don't know if this could be my John Orr's line or not. I do have a copy of a WILLIAM ORE in Sumner Co.,Tn in a deed dated 18 March 1796 between him and ROBERT HAYS of Davidson County, Tn. A witness was ROBERT OAR. I don't know if this is the same WILLIAM ORE (ORR) or not. JOHN WALKER was called for jury duty on the Superior Court of Law and Equity in November of 1788 and again in May 1789 in Nashville. On 23 July 1802 PHILIP WALKKER sold to JANNET WALKER, "widow, relict of Philip Walker, Sr., lately deceased, a negro woman named Hannah and one bay mare and colt" which had been the property of John Walker. A Will of PHILIP WALKER leaves to "my beloved wife Jennet Walker a decent way of living on my estate also a negro girl named Feb. He had a oldest son named John and sons-in-law's Alexander Campbell, WILLIAM ORR, Matthew McKance and William Neely. William ORE ( OAR, ORE ), was called from SUMNER COUNTY for jury duty on the Superior Court of Law and Equity meeting in NASHVILLE in November of 1790. PHILIP WALKER, deceased, left to "my son-in-law WILLIAM ORR that negro girl that is now in his possession also 100 acres of land that I bought from ROBERT HAYS. Any kinship on my JOHN ORR in Sumner County TN and the WILLIAM ORE ( ORR) in Davidson Co., Tn. and Sumner Co., Tn. would be appreciated. Marianne Dillow Illinois
