Marianne These people stayed in their clans and married in themand then moved with them The People in Sumner are also foundin other Counties too during time periods My lines up there are several, you are working a line I have not worked on in years the Bennett families and allied families. I do not have a file at all on TN Sumner Co. Johnson and allied families, but on of the Hudson Familes is up there and so is a Patrick family. I am totally going from memory and that is all I can say is factual at this time. I will have to do a Sumner search in the library and see what comes out of other files. here is a time line on County Changes Tony > Date: Tue, 8 Jan 2013 18:08:49 +0000 > From: marlowest155@frontier.com > To: tndavids@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [TNDAVIDS] John Orr of Sumner Co., Tn. and William Orr of Davidson Co., Tn., Are They Kin > > Hi Tony, > > We meet again. So, it looks like he was back and forth between Davidson and Sumner counties. I don't know if he and my JOHN ORR are kin but they and a ROBERT OAR are the only ones I see in my area. I don't think anyone knows for certain but we think JOHN ORR might have a birthdate of ca 1750 as he died in 1798 in Sumner County and his wife FRANCES unknown died in 1813. There is only an inventory on him with no will. in Sumner in 1814 after Frances died.. > > I know what your taking about on county formations.
