Has anyone or does anyone know of someone that was able to get a court order in TN to obtain records for genealogy purposes from a facility? I was told today that several have successfully done it in TN. He suggested I call the AG's office for more info. as to whether I have to be there in person or not or what the process is. Would love to hear if anyone else has done this. Dianne

Sounds like they meant the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that pertains to public access to government records. You have to make a written request and they have so many days to respond.
