Hi, Judy, I had to go to Nashville and visit the Archives to access the microfilm to find the obits for my great-great grandparents. I have not found an online source. NewspaperArchives.com is a subscription service with old newspapers but it does not have any Nashville newspapers. GenealogyBank.com doesn't appear to carry obits much earlier that 1977. Unfortunately, it does not appear that there are many active Nashville researchers who are members of this list. There was a website - Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness - that could put you in touch with a local volunteer researcher who could be your "feet on the ground", but I am not sure that is still an active site.
