I will be on the lookout for the family of John Cotton as I continue to research the Davidson county records. Checked the signers of the Articles of Agreement or Compact of Government entered into by the Settlers of the Cumberland River, 1st May 1780 and did not see a John, or any other Cotton listed. Also checked North Carolina Land Grants in Tennessee, 1784 and did not see a Cotton listed. Have lists of persons in Davidson county in 1812 and will check them when time permits. Margaret Nichol
