William Mc Gaugh born 1720 Ireland, lived in Staunton, Augusta County, Virginia 1766 to 1785, married Ruth Hill in Virginia, then moved to Davidson County, Tennessee. William, Ruth and a daughter Mattie were killed by Indians at Hickman Station near Nashville in 1789. Where is Hickman Station? Was it a town or a settlement??? Who were the parents of William Mc Gaugh and Ruth Hill ??? William was suppose to have fought in the Revolution, but no proof of that. Would appreciate any help. Carolyn S. Clark
