Capt Robert BELL, Revolutionary War officer from NC, migrated with his family to TN in 1783, settling first in Sumner Co. and then moving to Davidson Co. He died in 1816. He had 19 children, 18 of which lived to adulthood. One of his children, James BELL married Mary DEAN, and moved to Wilson Co in 1819.
