My great-grandfather lived in Hadley's Bend, and he reported on the 1860 Davidson County census that he was a ferryman. A ferry on Hadley's Bend could have put in across the river anywhere from Walton Ferry Road in Hendersonville in Sumner County to downstream from Old Hickory Blvd. in Davidson Co. Does anyone know where that ferry was located and were it docked across the river? Joyce
