    3. TO FIND OR IDENTIFY GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONS: I went to the USGS site and entered "Buffalo Valley" for the feature name and its search results came back with many Buffalo Valley sites, such as a true valley, two population sites in TN, a church, a post office, etc. There is a valley called Buffalo Valley in Tennessee in Anderson County. But if you are looking for a town, there are two Buffalo Valleys in TN; one in Lewis County and one in Putnam County. Both locations also have a "Buffalo Valley High School" which are both historic sites. This information and more is available on this site. This site helps me each time I need to know the county name for a town or city I run across in my genealogy research. Try it! The address is: http://www-nmd.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html/ Jeanne (researching BOSWORTH and RYMAN)
