Hi Fellow Rooters - Searching for information about my paternal grandmother, Bessie (or Elizabeth) TURNER, b. 13-Oct-1864 in Tennessee, the city or county unknown. Not much else is known, except her death certificate showed her mother's maiden name to have been TRIBUE. Could that be a variant spelling of TRABUE? She and my grandfather, Thomas A. PRICE, (b. 26-Apr-1862 in Russellville, Logan Co., KY) were married 19-Sep-1883 in Tennessee, the city or county also unknown, and moved to Abilene, Taylor Co., TX 24-Dec-1884. A fellow rooter forwarded information that Jabob TRIBUE married Mahala Duff in McMinn Co., TN in 1848, and the 1870 Tennessee Census shows a Jacob, age 60, in Monroe Co. The same Census shows a Doct. J. TRIBUE in Jefferson County, and there have been a number of TRABUEs in Davidson County. Is there some connection here? Does anybody have any information on a TURNER male, born possibly 1837 to 1844, and a TRIBUE (or TRABUE) female, born possibly 1840 to 1844, who married probably earlier than 1863, somewhere in Tennessee, and had a daughter named Bessie, or possibly Elizabeth, who was born 13-Oct-1864.
