I dug out an old e-mail from a Heaton family historian from April 1998. In it, Mr. Dean Heaton (email address: dheaton@ix.netcom.com) states: "Lt. Amos Heaton (sometimes called Eaton) served with the Georgia Rangers during the Indian wars of the 1760s. He married on 11-20-1764 in Augusta County Virginia. (Presumably to Elizabeth Ramsey). He was in Fincastle County Va. in 1776, and soon after settled in Davidson County, Tennessee. We know that he had a brother, Capt. James Heaton in Augusta County, Va. in 1756. I have it that he was born in 1740 and died in 1794." Mark ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
