Heaton----Can any of you answer the following? I have the following questions gathered from recent information. 1. What are the Draper papers? They seem to have info. that I can use. How does one gain access to them? Are they published? Ann says there is a Draper's Meadow in Old Frederick Co VA. where she found a Robert Heaton. Is the same Draper. 2. Robert Heaton does not list "Polly" as a child of Amos Heaton in his Minister's Journal. He made a list of all his brothers and sisters along with birth dates. I know that she is listed as his child in Amos' Will, so what is "Polly" short for? What her birth and death dates? 3 There was a William Heaton listed in the Journal as joining one of Roberts Churches. He was also a signer of a petition in Davidson Co concerning Ferrys on the Cumberland , along with Robert and Thomas, Was this a son of Robert or Thomas? 4 I got confused somewhere was Elizabeth (Amos wife) thought to be the daughter of Josiah or Thomas Ramsey. Who can give more specifics on Ramseys? 5 What about information on Amos' connection with the Watauga Settlement and Heaton's Fort. Where can I get more info on that.
