Unfortunately, both of these must be used on site, so you would have to drive here. I don't know if faxing the info to you is a possibility or not. You can get the phone number for MTSU Reference Dept by calling (615) 898-2300. The number for the State Archives is (615) 741-2764. (That's the Geneaology Department.) In reference to the local marriage and death records, there is a site that has been established through the Nashville Public Library and is maintained by the library's archives dept. There are plans to make it accessible via the web, but the technology isn't completely in place yet. If I understand correctly, these records can be copied and faxed to you. (I believe there's a fee involved, but it's nothing compared to the time you'll save!) They may also have the DAR info you're looking for; if not, they can give you the address and phone number of someone who will. Hope this helps.
