    3. Hi Chuck, I have no information on LASTERS in Davidson Co. My gggrandparents were Sidney and Martha LASTER.The first record I have of them is in1860 Chickasaw Co Miss. They were born abt. 1840 in Al. In 1870 they are in Marshall Co Miss with children James 9 yrs, William 7yrs, John 4yrs, and Mary 1year old. After 1870 they seem to fall off the face of the earth. My William LASTER is in Poinsett Co. AR by 1885. Sometime in the 19 20's/30's William took his family to visit a cousin by the last name of MANN on his plantation in Miss or TN.Have not been able to connect this family to LASTERS, but in 1840, 50 & 60 there are LASTER and MANN families in the same or near counties in AL and Miss. Sidney LASTER served in Civil War. In checking list of men who served in the war I noticed that there were a large number of men of that surname and spelling in the war. Not as many LASTERS in census after the war. Have hit a stone wall in researching this family and would like to hear from anyone who has connection or clues that would help.
