Thanks for that information on when DAVIDSON CO. TN was created. My second question is whether or not there are marriage records from that time (1793) forward. I'm looking for the marriage of Charity Gatlin possibly to John Hanks, Jr. However, I don't know whether she married him or not. It's just a hunch. Is there anyone who does marriage look ups? Thanks.
