Hi Davidson & Sumner Co. Listers! A recent offer for marriage lookups on the Davidson County list has prompted me to post this notice. On the Sumner County and Cheatham County Gen Web sites are great marriage information. With the close proximity of these three counties to each other, it is a good idea to check several county sources when hunting down ancestors. The Sumner County site also lists bondsmen, which is where I found my Davidson County ancestor's name. The Davidson County site has a searchable index of marriages 1864-1905. Also at the Davidson County's "Index Search-Selected Davidson County Records" link: free lookups of County Death Records (1900-1913), Marriages (1790-1863) and Will Books (1784-1902).
