I'm doing research on the BROWN family of Garrard County, Kentucky. John BROWN deeded 640 acres to two sons. The acreage is listed in Garrard County's grantor-grantee index as being on Barlows Creek in Davidson County. Since North Carolina didn't have a Davidson County in 1804, I'm wondering if the land is in Tennessee's Davidson County. Was there a Barlows Creek watercourse in Davidson County ca 1804?
