I too am new to this board and have a question about the family of LAZARUS GATLIN who was born ca 1740 in Craven Co. NC. Married to SALLY (?). Lazarus and Sally had a number of children: Jesse, Lazarus Jr., Nathan Marion, Nancy Holland, Charity, and William. This family was later in Davidson Co. TN and then in Hopkins Co. KY by 1815-16. The child that I am most inerested in is Charity. Does anyone know anything about her??? Was she the Charity who was married to John Hanks, Jr.?? My John Hanks Jr. and wife Charity had a dau Sarah who was born in TN and there were other Gatlin / Hanks marriages. Appreciate any help on this. Thanks so much. Joanne
