Looking for help in researching my ancestor Caleb Cotten he was listed in Tennessee records 1813, in the building of roads. Some of those he was listed with were John Brown Leroy Perkins, John Perkins, Elisha Phelps, Daniel Phelps Zodack Phelps, William Stokes, William White, Elisha Rideout, among others. I would like to learn more about some of these people, as they were probably neighbors of Caleb Cotton. The road that was being built was from ford of Hurricane Creek to Johns Brown's. Any information or ideas for research or any history would be appreciated.
