He married Malvina Williams in Davidson Co. in 1820's. They had sons Thomas, Benjamin, James, Robert; possibly a Richard also and a Henry, a daughter Louisa. They were a family of Coopers up until the 70's I'm sure of. Also in search of proof of one Richard Griggs being a confederate veteran of the Civil War. I have military records for a R.P. Griggs as such, but that isn't proof he's mine as I don't know of a middle innitial for him. Richard was married to Harriet Elizabeth Hamlet in Davidson Co. Elizabeth died in 1901 in the Wrenco area, unable to find a death record for Richard, he was still alive in 1900 living in the 7th District with grandchildren Jolin Temple, Sam Temple and a Jessie Griggs. Richard's parents were Henry and Hannah M. Polk Griggs. His children were possibly a Richard, then Thomas, William, Robert, Andrew, Frank. Parelli, Netti Clark, John, and more.
