The following information is from the TN State Archives website: Tennessee State Library and Archives 403 Seventh Avenue North Nashville, TN 37243-0312 The Tennessee State Library and Archives is located immediately west of the State Capitol Building. The Tennessee Supreme Court Building (at the corner of 7th Avenue North and Charlotte Avenue) is located beside the library. The Manuscripts Reading Area is open Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm CST _http://tennessee.gov/tsla/visitor.htm_ (http://tennessee.gov/tsla/visitor.htm) My notes: Plan on bringing your lunch and eat in your car because the restaurants that are open are several blocks away and the area is very hilly and those close are in hotels and are extremely expensive. If you do want to walk to a cafe or restaurant, head toward Church St. They are a bit less expensive. Parking on Saturdays are usually good. Free on-street parking is usually available but you must go in and get a parking pass and put it on your windshield. The staff is always very helpful. Good luck on your research.
