John Cockrill's wife was Anne Robertson Johnson Cockrill ( my 5yth great grandmother) who was buried elsewhere when she died and later moved to that far corner alongside 4th Ave in the old Nashville City Cemetery. They have raised crypts, are not burried underground, and there is writing on the grave tops as well as a marker beside them. I planted some rosess and other flowers there a few years back, which were doing fine last time I was there.. At one time there WAS a big tree there but that tornado took it out. The city planted saplings of some sort in its place.
