TN Deed Book W, p. 509 Registered 19 January 1835 In consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to us in hands paid, we have bargained sold to Samuel Seay a negro slave by the name of Peter, commonly called "Peter Lowry". We covenant and agree with said Seay to warrant & defend the title of said slave to him and his assigns against all claims, but we do not warrant his health or soundness.
