My paternal grandparents are buried here, but my family comes from all over the southeast, including East TN and Alabama. Just curious! Thanks! Consider how likely it is that someone would come to the Archives for Nashville and Davidson County looking for information on your family. If you have past generations that were born, married, died or lived for many years in Davidson County, then there would be records concerning those family members here. My family comes from all over the South also, including many Tennessee counties, but I would only place information at Metro Archives on those lines that were born, died and/or lived in Nashville and Davidson County. Remember that there are two government archives in Nashville. Metro Archives has records for Nashville and Davidson County only. The Tennessee State Library and Archives has records for all counties in Tennessee. I don't know if the Tennessee State Library and Archives still updates family vertical files. You would want to check with their staff about that. ************************************** Get a sneak peak of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
