The D. Reed (David and Harriet Wallace Read) family, part of which is listed in P.O. Goodlettsville, District 24, Davidson Co. TN, is surrounded by Fergusons. I have all the marriages in my Read family and to my knowledge we have no ties to the Ferguson family. When younger, David b. 1799 NC d. 1872 TN once operated a carriage/blacksmith shop with his younger brother Guilford Read b. 1803 NC d.1883 TN and wife Elizabeth Wallace Read who moved to Gallatin, Sumner Co. TN in 1853. James Read brought these two sons to Nashville in 1805 and they married Wallace sisters whose family arrived in Nashville in abt. 1808. James Read then moved to Robertson County and died there in 1826. my tngenes <[email protected]> wrote: I am looking to find out the identity of an "S" Ferguson (female, b TN 1810) listed on the 1860 census for Davidson Co, District 24. Living in this same h/h in 1860 is a Jane Ferguson, age 32 b TN--I am also looking to find out who she is John (age 23). James (age 21) and William (age 18) are in this h/h--they are believed to be the youngest sons of Toliver & Catherine Winters Ferguson (deceased). I am hoping to "tie" this "S" Ferguson to the family of Toliver & Catherine Winters Ferguson. Neighbors of this family are: K Reasoner, S Adcock (f), J McCoy, G. McNeel, M Gray, D Reed, and R Archart. Thanks for any help you can give me! Sherri _________________________________________________________________ Messenger Café open for fun 24/7.
