Regarding the "Flatrock School" I was raised in the area of Woodbine locally referred to Flatrock on Thompson Lane just off Nolensville Road. I do not recall any school of that name in the years 1946 to 1956. I doubt if there was ever a school by that name since "Flatrock" was a colloquialism. I can only remember Turner Elementary, Woodbine Elementary, Whitsett Elementary and Central High.
