Melissa- Granny White Pike is named for Granny. It's been a while since I've looked at my file on her, but it was named something else in the beginning and they changed it to honor her since she was such a legend in the area. Thanks Donna!! I am not researching Granny White, but since I live near the area and have seen Granny White Pike many times, I thought it was named after the Granny White that was being discussed.
