Mahlon L Jones to Elizabeth Nelms should be the parents of the Mahlon I am working on. My grt-grandfather Mahlon was born in 1847 in Nashville. I believe his parents to be Mahlon & Elizabeth and to have three siblings (Mudora, Elarena, and William). Mahlon's second marriage was to Martha A Johns Gregory Stinson on May 12, 1892 in Franklin (Simpson Co) KY. Application shows it to be his second marriage and her third marriage. I have copies of this. Duncan Curtis Jones their only child together was born March 03,1894 in Franklin Ky. By the 1900 census Martha (Mattie) is in Nashville with Duncan and her two children from Stinson marriage (Rebecca & Oren (Ora)) and Mahlon is deceased. I believe he died in TN. I have paperwork showing they sold the house they lived in while in KY. Martha was from NC and seems to have spent her first two marriages in KY. I believe she moved to Nashville with Mahlon and then he died. But I cannot find a grave for either. I searched online with find a grave and with the Nashville site where you can look at all the cemetaries that they have listed. Trust me it is a long list. I went through the names cemetary by cemetary trying to find them. So Mahlon's first marriage was somewhere between 1860 -1892. I just don't know if it occurred in TN or Ky. Thanks to everyone for looking for me. And thanks on the marriage names I had Elizabeth as a Nebons will try looking with the Nelms name. BTY I have managed to trace Ora Stinson's family to present day. She married into Rutledge in Memphis and have traced it though several marriages to present day family. I sent letters to the addresses I found hoping to get some king of info as Mahlon was her step father. But no one will respond to me. Again Thanks everyone! Sharon Jones Trussell
