i know in the past there have been inquiries regarding the Tennessee Industrial School - also called Tennessee Preparatory School and access to the records. The TN state archives has copies on microfilm for the girls through 1920 and the boys through mid 1918. for years i have been seeking ones after that - this december i was informed that if you call the State of Tennessee Department of Children's Services, fill out their form and prove your relation, they will release the records to you. i just received my father in law's records from 1936-41 and they were a goldmine of information which broke a huge brick wall for me. the person to speak to is Ken Herman at 615-253-5989. they sent every piece of info they had and there was no charge! i sure hope this info will help others out there linda ________________________________________________________________________ Interested in getting caught up on today's news?
