    3. Hi, Diane; Glad I could help. If you write to McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris, TN and request copies of the burial records, you may find more information than what is provided in the funeral home book. They are really great about assisting in searches and you might want to forward a self-addressed stamped envelope. I still haven't looked in the Ridgeway book, but I'll do that as soon as possible. Best wishes, Virginia Diane Evans <[email protected]> wrote: I think you've found him already! His title was Captain Edmund Jackson. I wonder if he served in the Civil war. 3. She also recalled that her mother took them for a walk and as they passed a mortuary they looked through a slit in a tall board-type fence and there were many bodies in the yard of the mortuary waiting burial due to some type of epidemic. What in the world would this be? The flu epidemic hit the eastern US about that time. Many, many people died from it. iI killed my great grandfather in Paris. I understand from NOVA (PBS) that they've eradicated the virus now. I'm interested in Edmund Jackson (my great grandfather) who was buried in a Manleyville cemetary near Nashville.
