    1. Re: [TNDAVIDS] John Bradford's (1798-aft 1870) parents
    2. David E. Cann
    3. Deborah, As I noted in my original post, I have nothing whatever on his parents, and thus his siblings as well. This is the information I am trying to locate for that reason. :-) As also noted, he married twice and the two wives are listed in my information along with whatever information that I have. He had six children, and all six are also listed in my original information below as well. David E. 1. Re: [TNDAVIDS] Bradford in early Franklin Co. Indiana

    3. David - I found an early Franklin Co. BRADFORD record: In the 1828 Franklin Co. Tax list for Springfield Twp, there is a Robert BRADFORD and a Burton BRADFORT listed: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Woods/9061/fctaxlist.htm Also keep in mind the history of Franklin County. It was not formed until Nov. 27, 1810, and then portions of it became Fayette County in 1819 and Union County in 1826. So....this represents a bit of a challenge because these neighboring counties also must be checked for estate records and other indications of BRADFORD individuals. Also, Franklin County is on the state line. Perhaps John lived in the adjoining state when he married Sarah. The marriage would have taken place in the county that the bride resided, but romance and love knows no boundaries ( I can't believe I wrote something this corny!). I checked the book, Tennesseans before 1800 - Davidson County, by Marjorie Hood Fischer, Frontier Press, Galveston, 1997. This is an index of individuals found in early county records. The following are BRADFORD: Benjamin J., Benjamin James, Henry, Hy. (Henry also?), and William. There is reference to a Henry Bradford's estate in 1787. 3. Jeanne, No I haven't, but what does the BURKE surname have to do with it? I have checked for BRADFORD, but I can't even find him in the Census until 1840 when he was in Bartholomew County. 2. Hi Melissa~ Funny thing is that I was just thinking about you. I wondered how you came out with that person who was being ugly and harassing you a few months back. I was so impressed with the way you handled the whole thing. I hope it's over. The whole thing was so uncalled for and just mean. We all have enough problems without somebody out there making more. Mary Jane Corbitt is the sister of my great grandmother, Martha Eliz. Corbitt Warner. I do know a little about Mary Jane. She was quite the character. Would like to have known her. Guess back then she would have been quite talked about over the neighborhood fence.I would love to have the death record. What do you want me to do. I will send you a stamped env. ??? You just tell me. That was so exciting to see your message. It made my day and I do thank you for getting it out on the site. copying cost??? Happy spring. I hear St. Louis is all in bloom. In Florida, it's always in bloom. We will be in Naples til the 28 th. and then it's home. That's good. I am always glad to get home. More later... I believe my grandfather went to school there in 1909 and I would like to find what medical schools were in existence then and get an address for them. I have a receipt for $5.00 issued to him March 25 1909 that says Nashville, Tenn and has a Moosehead in one corner of the receipt. It also says balance due 08-9. I also have a postcard with his picture and an unknown man who was pictured with him. It is postmarked January 6, 1909. I know he went to medical school for a while, but do not know the name of the school. I think after finding these two items it must have been in Nashville. Can anyone help me?
