    2. Kristi Moffitt
    3. I don't see him listed in Sistler's Index to Early TN Wills and Administrations 1779-1861. Nashville has death records from 1874, so you might find his wife listed in those records. There also may be a widow's dower, or some type of estate settlement in probate court that would give you an approximate date of death for him. If I can help you further, just email me at [email protected] Kristi Moffitt -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Deborah Maddox Sent: Friday, July 27, 2007 9:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [TNDAVIDS] Hickman B. 3. Debbie: I appreciate your sending this site out for us. The William Maxwell listed here is not my William as my William died in 1820 and was born in Virginia. It is a great site though and I am sure it will benefit many others. In fact I will go back and look for some of my other lines. My paternal grandparents are buried here, but my family comes from all over the southeast, including East TN and Alabama. Just curious! Thanks! Consider how likely it is that someone would come to the Archives for Nashville and Davidson County looking for information on your family. If you have past generations that were born, married, died or lived for many years in Davidson County, then there would be records concerning those family members here. My family comes from all over the South also, including many Tennessee counties, but I would only place information at Metro Archives on those lines that were born, died and/or lived in Nashville and Davidson County. Remember that there are two government archives in Nashville. Metro Archives has records for Nashville and Davidson County only. The Tennessee State Library and Archives has records for all counties in Tennessee. I don't know if the Tennessee State Library and Archives still updates family vertical files.
