    3. Davidson County, Tennessee County Court Minutes, 1792-1799, by Carol Wells had Phillips listed on many, many pages. The name is spelled Philip, Philips, Philipp, Phillips, Philps, Phipps in the index but is probably the same family. Heritage Books, Inc. is where I purchased my books, but it is not listed in the current catalogue. Their address is: Heritage Books, Inc., 1540-E Pointer Ridge Place, Bowie, MD 20716. The phone number is: (301) 390-7709. If this book is not available there is a Davidson County, TN, Deed Book "P"; Personal Property Deed, 15 November 1821 to 13 February 1829, by Mary Sue Smith that might help you. This book is published by the above and is $18.50. Given some time, I can probably look into the County Court minutes for you if you cannot find a copy. Margaret Nichol

    2. Pauline Phelps
    3. This list will cover the NEELEY/NEELY/NEALY's of <>IN<>NC<>TN<>OK<>MS<>TX & CA we are not connected to the Neeley's of SC & Neely's Bend TN. ============================================= OK, good news: my mailing list is ready to roll. Briefly (very), people can subscribe to our list in mail mode by sending a message to NEELEY-L-request@rootsweb.com that contains the word subscribe and nothing else. If they prefer digest mode, they should send the command instead to NEELEY-D-request@rootsweb.com. To unsubscribe, they should send the command "unsubscribe" to NEELEY-L-request@rootsweb.com (if in mail mode) or NEELEY-D-request@rootsweb.com (if in digest mode.) To switch from one mode to the other, they should unsubscribe from one and then subscribe to the other. There is no "no mail" mode -- if they want messages to stop, they should simply unsubscribe. (Suggestion: use these commands to subscribe to NEELEY-L, as no one at all is currently subscribed, and then send a test message through. Take your list for a test drive, in other words.) To post to both NEELEY-L and NEELEY-D, messages should be sent to NEELEY-L@rootsweb.com. Messages sent there will appear both places. -- ************************************************************* Pauline [Neeley] Phelps 2201 Faye Lane Bakersfield CA 93304 <><>>><<<<<<<<<<>>>><<<<<<<<<<>>>>><<<>><><>>><<<<<<<<><>>><<<<<<< List owner of NEELEY-L mailing list. Not long after settling in Davidson County, William met Nancy Henderson in 1797 and married her and lived in Nashville and was friends with Andrew Jackson, he marched in the war of 1812 and attained the rank of Colonel. Nancy and William had eight children. They were 1. William Henderson Phillips (1798 -before 1870)in Davidson, county, TN. My William Phillips is said to have come to America in 1795 with a brother and an elderly cousin. Supposedly he stayed with another relative in Davidson County.
