It said this information came from TNDAVIDS-L archives. I am very interested in her. I know this may be the wrong place to look, but I thought I would try. Can anyone help? You can email me at HBlazekfam@aol.com.. Hope everyone dosen't mind me posting about someone who may not belong here. I know this is a long shot. Thank you Dolly

    1. Ann Robertson johnson Cockril graves/ Nashville's Old City Cemetery
    2. There is a new organization formed to preserve and restore the old City cemetery, where Ann Robertson Johnson Cockrill ( my 5 g gmo) is buried, along with her brother Gen. James Robertson, and others who came to what is now Tennessee on the Donalson Flotilla in the 1700's. The cemetery is in deplorable condition. The chain-link fence is toren down, the ornamental iron one around the Cockrill graves is all bent and smashed.Every time I go there, it is worse. The Nashville City Cemetery Association has just formed, to arrange for fence repairs, landscaping ( the view of the surrounding industrial area is pretty BAD), and for general upkeep and poublicity, education about the cemetery and people buried there, tours of it, poossibly a narration tape and book iin the future. They are asking descendants of the families buried there and other interested parties to join them, ..membership begins at $20/yr. 2. I thought you all might like to take a look at this site referred to on the ETN list, which shows the progression of county divisions in the United States. Then again, you might not want to look at it because it may depress you if you are like me and are pretty sure you have VA ancestors who never moved a foot, but lived in five different counties between 1770 and 1800. 1. Re: Daniel Young
    2. Debie, I'd like to see what yo have on the Hyde/DRake marriages, if anything. They may not be your area of research. I'm trying to identify all of the early Drakes. Since no census is available prior to 1820 and with the difficulties of identying women with their parents in those years, I'm looking for any and all clues. At this time, I don't know who Susannah's parents were. Benjamin Drake, Jr married a Susannah but his daughters (3 in census) are all accounted for. >From "bible records and tombstone inscriptions" I find the following listed from a Hyde family bible: Jonathan Drake and Eliza Drake married Dec 24, 1808 Jordan Hyde and Susan S. Drake married Mar 3, 1825 Tazwell Hyde and Ann E. Drake married Aug 14, 1828 Daniel Young and Ellen Hyde married May 1, 1848 Tazwell Hyde and Sallie Young married Sept 20, 1858 Tazwell Hyde and Susan Drake married Nov 30, 1815 Felix R. Hyde born Feb 5, 1817 Tazwell Hyde died May 3, 1838 (son of Tazwell and Susan) Ann Eliza Drake born Sept 22, 1810 Mary Jane Drake born Jan 30, 1813 Alfred A. Drake born Dec 2, 1815 Susannah C. Drake born Sep 6, 1817 Jonathan Drake born Mar 6, 1819 Jonathan Drake died Nov 30, 1842 Tazwell H. Young, born Apr 11, 1849 Daniel Young, Jr. born Ded 6, 1850 Tazwell Hyde died May 3, 1838 Susan S. Hyde, wife of Jordan, died Dec 24, 1825 Susan Hyde, wife of Tazwell, died Jun 16, 1820 Looking for help identifying any of these Drakes in Davidson Co!
