TSLA microfilm inventories list only the records that have been microfilmed by TSLA. There are many records on the county level that have not been filmed and are available through local archives. Metro Nashville Archives has compiled databases of many records that are not on film and has indexes for those records. I no longer work for Metro Nashville Archives and I don't have access to Davidson County records. There are some guardianship records, but I am not sure what years the records cover. Contact Metro Nashville Archives at 615-862-5880 for information. As guardianship records are county rather than state records you may be able to find something through Metro Nashville Archives. They indexes for many Davidson County records that are easily searched. Yes, They are online for some counties at FamilySearch. TSLA has microfilm inventories for every county. Hi Folks, I found a 1850's record online at Familysearch.org where the guardian signed for a minor daughter when the father died and the daughter was a distributee of her father's estate. The guardian signed a receipt that he had received the distribution, $26, that the girl was entitled to. I could not find any guardianship records listed at the TSLA website. Dora, And if you take the line Teresa gave you: ---- National Archives Microfilm publication A3378: Enumeration District Maps for the Twelfth Through Sixteenth Censuses of the United States, 1900-1940 ---- and paste it into Google, you will get a list of hits including one for familysearch.org. Click on this and when the screen opens up, choose Browse, then Tennessee ( if the screen doesn't open with the list of states, try a different or later browser). When the next screen opens up, go through the first 6-7 pages and you hopefully will come to an index that should tell you which page to go to for the county you want. The images of the maps for that county will follow this. ---- ---- On 09/09/14, Dora Smith via wrote: ----- Where, online, would I find civil district maps for Robertson, Davidson and Cheatham Counties, ca 1880 through 1920. Had you googled, you would have found National Archives Microfilm publication A3378: Enumeration District Maps for the Twelfth Through Sixteenth Censuses of the United States, 1900-1940 Good luck finding that online. If we could find it online, then you should be able to. Why did you need me to do the legwork? -----Original Message----- From: tndavids-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:tndavids-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Dora Smith via Sent: Tuesday, September 9, 2014 8:59 PM To: Teresa Elliott; tndavids@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [TNDAVIDS] Need map of civil districts for Robertson, Davidson and Cheatham Counties Google not my friend. I googled: Map Guide to the US Federal Census 1790-1920 and used the worldcat.org link that was on the first page. There were 1344 libraries found that have the book. One of them is two miles from my house. There's a good chance there is one near where you live also. Gene At 08:58 PM 9/9/2014, Dora Smith via wrote: >Google not my friend. Already tried.
