As announced earlier, publication for the Coffee County Heritage Book is set for late fall 2004......it should arrive in time for Christmas (in case someone planned to give it as a Christmas gift). The first batch of more than 1300 articles is being shipped to the publisher this week. The others will follow in stages as the editing is completed. The committee will then have to proof the draft from the publisher which will also be done in stages. All of this will take some time, but we want you to know that all of the committee members are working dilligently behind the scenes to produce a quality product. We will keep you posted from time to time. The last date to order a book at the pre-publication price will be June 1, 2004. After that date, the price will increase $11.00.
