I hope that if this is really Mr. Crawford's gravestone that it is returned to the cemetery. My condolences to his family if that is the case. But believe it or not, not all monuments belong in cemeteries. When I was in high school I got upset when my friends and I found many gravestones on a river bank and in a river. As it turned out, we were canoeing behind the monument engraver's shop and they just put the mistakes out back. If someone replaces a monument because the old one is unreadable, what happens to the old one? It's possible that stones used for fill might have been obtained legitimately. When I die, please bury me in Deadman Park.
