I am looking for information on the sons of James and Milky "Smothers" Winfrey. There were the following males in this family: George (bn. 1832), Henry Clayborne (1836), John Winfrey (1847), Samuel "Polk" (1848), and James (1858) Winfrey. All the children were born in Tennessee possible some in Sumner County and the rest in Coffee County. I know that Samuel and James would move to Carroll and Saline counties in Missouri. The girls all moved to this same area of Missouri. The girls names were Mary, Martha, Jane and Nancy Rebecca, Their spouses last names were Earp (2), Arnold, Norvell, and Pate. James may have married a women named Annie. Samuel I believed never married. and was living at one time with his sister Mary Arnold. She was to become blind at some point in her later years. She was still alive at least in the 1920 to 30's She was the first born around 1831. Any information on this family and the sons would be appreciated. Spelling of names may vary, Thanks in advance.
