I have been told that my great grandfather James Knox Polk Robinson (1845-1925) who was a resident of Coffee Co. TN had a license to make whiskey during the late 1800's. My uncle recalls seeing one of the beige crockery jugs used as a container--it was marked with the name "JKP Robinson" and the license number. Does anyone know who would have issued such a license?
