    3. Hi, Jess, Yes, the messages can still get through, but we've just not been sending them. I'm posting mine once again, hoping that someone connected to my family has joined us since Christmas. Benjamin Franklin Church (b. TN ca 1828) married Mary Caroline Thompson (b. TN ca 1830) in 1848 in Cannon Co., TN. They and their baby son, John Marion, were in the Census of 1850 in Rutherford Co., TN. By 1860 the family was living in Coffee Co., TN., including more sons: William Isaac (b. 1852), James F.T. (who later went by Thomas F. - b. 1856), and Franklin (b. 1860). The family, minus Benjamin Franklin (according to family stories, he was killed in a battle near home late in the Civil War), were still in Coffee Co., TN, in 1870, including a son, Calvin (b. 1862). Later (1878) Mary married B.A. Burks, and in 1894 she married David L. Prince. I really need to connect with someone who knows the parents and/or siblings of Franklin Church (the elder one) and/or Mary Caroline Thompson. Thanks! Carole Hays Hodge, Louisiana

    3. Carole, I'm not sure If you are on it or not, but the Bedford County list had a long discussion about Thompsons in the last few weeks. You might want to search the list archives for Bedford and see if you find it there. I'm not a list manager so I'm not sure how long it is before messages are added to the archive, but it won't hur to look.
