Hi Sue, Yes, I can tell you that district 4 was the Riley's Creek area, now mostly under Normandy Lake, and district 17, I assume, is the same or nearly so, as district 16, the Baucom (16th Model, Roberts Ridge Road, etc.) area. I am interested in the specific difference between Civil District 16 and CD 17, if there is one. In the census, based on families who lived there, or near there, there does not seem to be much difference between them. Can anyone enlighten me further?
