Sheila, Thank you for your nice note so kindly worded. It is my understanding that a virus is sometimes attached AFTER it leaves one's computer. It is so unfortunate, particularly in light of what has happened in this country in the past eleven days, that people have so little to think about other than creating and attaching a virus. You would think they would put their energy and efforts to a positive, constructive use. Your message was clean. I, too, ran my Norton Anti-virus last night, and mine is also clean. Again, thank you. May sure your antivirus software is updated...the new one that is going round is different and without an update Norton will not catch it. I have antivirus software set to check each day to see if anything new has been added so I can update if need be. >From the information you have I do not see a connection to our Stephen Elliott. Stephen was born 1788 in NC. He lived most or all of his life in what is NOW Coffee County, TN. At the time he was born TN was part of NC so he could have been born and died at the same place. He is our brick wall. Thanks. You wouldn`t be Wanda Muncy Gant by any chance would you? Sheila
I appologize for any virus that may have been attached. I have Norton as well and I just ran a complete system scan with it. It said I have no virus? I appreciate you alerting me to this as well. I will say that the other day, I had an e-mail from an unknown and it had a virus attached. My Norton caught it and I took care of it. It may have been the same day I e-mailed this out. I may have sent this e-mail before opening the other? Other than that, I dont know? But my Norton did say my system is clean. Sheila Let me know how you get this one.

Juli, I know very little about Thomas Harrold who was married to my gggrandmother for a short period of time. They were married in Coffee Co on May 15, 1869. They are found in the 1870 census of Coffee Co. where Thomas is 25, his wife Elizabeth (the widow of Thomas N. Hill) age 30 and their son John Harrold, born in April 1870. I don't know what happened to this marriage or the child. Elizabeth marries again on August 26, 1871 to H.W. Frazier. Let me know if there is any connection and possibly I can get some questions answered but I don't know much more about the Harrolds. Lucy Parker, Ypsilanti, MI.
I am looking for Edward Jones and Sophia Morgan. Their son, Andrew Jackson Jones was born there. There was a virus attached to this email. Perhaps you want to check it out, as Norton Anti-virus caught it. Juli: Please email me direct at ttomes1@bellsouth.net. I have Richardsons and Harrell/Harold/Herrell/ (is Harod also a variation?) in Smith/Macon/Jackson/Trousdale areas. Some Herrells are listed in the book "The Overmaountain Men" a history of Tennesseans before it was Tennessee. So far all the Herrells I have found appear to be connected. Just another tidbit-The Tomes/Toms of Coffee County TN is another group which Tomes of UK, KY, VA, TN are believed to be all connected. There was a Rev. Charles Tomes that died in Nashville, TN in 1857 3rd rector of Christ Episcopal Church, worked with Cholerea victims when few would. His mother and some of his siblings are buried in Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery in New York City. The lived at one time on the site of the World Trade Bldgs when Charles Tomes was a child. He was married to Bishop Otey's daughter/Bishop Otey had much to do with the University of the South in Sewanee and Episcopal Churches Columbia, Franklin TN etc areas. I am researching the following name in the Coffee and Cannon CO areas, FARLESS, RICHARDSON AND HARROD/HARRELL. Hoping to find someone with the same connections. Hello Maxine, My Elliott's began with Michael Elliott and Mary Trim. He was born 1754 in Maryland. They resided in Obeys Creek, Scott Co., VA. I was looking for connections to Stephen. Whether they exist or not. Some of the family members from my Elliott connection migrated to Knox Co., Barbourville, KY. My connecting line in KY, is the son Asal and wife Mary Reese. Through their daughter Nancy Anne Elliott. Not sure their is a connection. Paula
