I have finally located Ada SAIN on the 1870 Coffee Co census. The missing spouse was John BURTON. What I find on the 1870 census is that a John BURT-- is listed as living next door to SAIN. The 1860 census lists John BERT as the first family in Dist 11. Is anyone researching BURT / BERT? D Poff --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. The Cannon Co. Historical Society will have their Fall, 2001 meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 6. at 6:00 PM. It will be held at the Arts Center located on the new U.S. Hwy 70, near the western city limit. A joint "covered dish" supper will be held, starting at 6:00 PM, with the actual meeting getting under way around 6:45 or so. Bring a dish of food, plate & silverware and join in.
